Gender Equality Policy
Salsomaggiore Terme, 10/05/2024
Theras has always recognized the uniqueness and value of every individual and, through its corporate Gender Equality Policy, aims to formalize its commitment to valuing differences, promoting fairness and equal opportunities, with the goal of ensuring a safe, inclusive workplace free from any form of discrimination for all people within the organization.
Theras is also committed to involving external stakeholders in a virtuous path of collaboration based on the same principles.
To this end, a Strategic Plan has been developed starting from an analysis of both the national and corporate context. It defines development objectives across the six thematic areas of UNI/PdR 125 listed below, and a Steering Committee has been appointed to ensure its implementation and to monitor the relevant KPIs.
Recruitment and Hiring
Theras is committed to ensuring that recruitment and hiring processes are managed through procedures, criteria, and operational methods aimed at eliminating bias, based on the principles of non-discrimination and equal opportunity, and focused exclusively on valuing the skills and capabilities required for the role.
Career Development
Theras is committed to supporting people’s growth within the organization through processes that guarantee equal opportunities, including access to leadership positions, basing decisions on objective role requirements linked to professional skills and competencies, regardless of gender, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
Pay Equity
Theras is committed to ensuring pay equity and impartiality in compensation policies and salary reviews, as well as monitoring salaries, bonuses, incentives, and welfare and/or benefit programs on a regular basis.
Parenthood and Care
Theras supports the value of parenthood by ensuring proper information regarding parental leave management and implementing specific support initiatives. The organization is committed to maintaining an open dialogue with parents in order to continuously improve the understanding of their needs and the ways of providing support.
Work–Life Balance
Theras recognizes the fundamental importance of work–life balance for people’s physical and mental well-being. Over time, it has implemented specific initiatives and is committed to periodically reviewing them through listening to employees and their needs.
Prevention Activities
People’s physical and mental well-being is a priority for Theras. The company strongly condemns any discrimination, violence, abuse, mobbing, harassment, and any form of non-inclusivity, and implements policies, strategies, and measures to prevent these phenomena. Prevention is pursued through a constant effort to create a work environment and corporate culture based on respect for diversity, fairness, and inclusion. Preventive activities may be carried out through different channels and operational methods: information, training, surveys, and monitoring of specific indicators.
Theras has also developed a communication plan addressed to internal and external stakeholders with the aim of involving them and periodically updating them on progress achieved in gender equality, inclusion, sustainability, and social responsibility.
The commitment expressed in this document is supported by Top Management and is required of all people operating within and outside the organization, without exception, so that an inclusive culture can become a shared asset.
